This notice explains how information is handled when you visit this public website, request weekly emails or other updates, request a giving acknowledgment or correction, follow a map, calendar, or donation link, or contact us using the details shown here. If a different notice is provided when information is collected for another purpose, that notice will apply to that interaction.

Information you choose to share

When you request weekly emails and occasional important or community updates, we ask for your first and last name, email address, and consent; a phone number is optional. We also record the consent text presented to you and when the request and consent were received. Submitting the form records a request to receive updates; it does not represent a guarantee that an address has already been enrolled in a mailing service. If you provide the optional phone number, it may be used to follow up about your request; the email consent checkbox does not authorize text messages or automated calls.

When you request or correct a giving acknowledgment, we collect the name and email address you provide, contribution date, amount and currency as entered, payment method, whether you report receiving or expecting goods or services, and any optional confirmation or check number and review details. We also record the confirmation text and submission time. We use these details to locate and verify a contribution against available records, respond, prepare or correct an acknowledgment, prevent duplicate or improper requests, and maintain appropriate records. Do not submit a Social Security or tax identification number, bank login, routing or account number, or full payment-card number.

If you contact us by email, phone, or mail, we receive the information you include so that we can respond. If you give by check or through a linked payment service, ordinary contact, payment, and acknowledgment records may be kept as reasonably needed to process and document the gift. This website does not ask for or receive your bank sign-in credentials.

Routine website information

Like most websites, hosting and security systems may process information such as an IP address, browser and device type, requested page, referring page, and the date, time, and outcome of a request. This supports reliable delivery, security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.

Cookies and local storage

The site may use browser storage to remember recently retrieved Torah-reading information and related display choices. Essential cookies are also used for restricted site-management and security functions. We do not use these tools to serve advertising.

We use information to provide and secure the website, respond to requests, send weekly emails and occasional important or community updates you asked to receive, maintain accurate records, and meet applicable legal or safety obligations. We do not disclose personal information simply because it may be of interest to another organization.

Limited information is shared with service providers when needed to operate a feature:

• Cloudflare supports website delivery and security. Its D1, Turnstile, Queues, and Email Service products validate, store, route, and forward email-update and giving-record requests submitted through the site.
• Google provides the congregation-managed email inbox that receives a copy of these requests for authorized follow-up.
• Hebcal supplies Jewish dates, readings, holidays, and candle-lighting information used by website features.
• Google Maps supplies embedded maps on location-related pages.
• Zelle and participating financial institutions process a donation when you scan or open the bank-generated QR link and authorize payment through your own banking service. Their systems, not this website, receive the payment credentials and transaction instructions.
• PayPal supplies the official donation button and processes a donation when you open the PayPal-hosted donation page. PayPal, not this website, receives the payment credentials and transaction instructions.
• cdnjs and Font Awesome deliver the icon font used by the site.

These providers may receive routine request information, including an IP address and device or browser details, when their services are requested. Some providers may independently collect information about visits to this and other websites under their own privacy policies and settings; we do not control those independent practices. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect people or the website, or investigate misuse.

Email-update request and consent records are kept only as long as reasonably needed to process the request, administer requested communications, document consent, and respond to an unsubscribe, correction, or deletion request. Giving-record requests and related contribution or acknowledgment records may be retained as reasonably needed for verification, accounting, tax, audit, dispute, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes. Temporary delivery and abuse-prevention records may be retained for troubleshooting and security, and forwarded copies are subject to the congregation-managed inbox's retention practices. Other retention periods can differ by record and context.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a public congregational website. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send sensitive personal information through ordinary email or the website form.

• Email updates: Use the unsubscribe instructions in a message or contact us to stop future weekly emails and other updates.
• Browser controls: You can clear cookies or local storage through your browser. Restricted site-management features may not work without essential cookies.
• Access or correction: Depending on applicable law and context, you may ask about personal information associated with you or request a reasonable correction or deletion.

The public site is not configured to alter essential delivery or security functions in response to browser “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals.

This public website is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect personal information directly from children under 13. A parent or guardian should contact us about youth activities. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the site, please let us know so we can address it.
