We value membership and participation with a community of congregations who embrace Messianic Judaism and covenant faithfulness, who recognize that we are stronger when part of a movement of God that is bigger than ourselves alone. Consequently, we are privileged to be a member of the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations (UMJC).
Membership connects our congregation with a wider community of learning, mutual support, and accountability. The union offers education and mentoring for congregational leaders, brings families together at conferences, and helps member communities support one another in times of need.
How the union serves its congregationsJewish life in Messiah
Torah and covenant faithfulness
In the UMJC’s definition, Messianic Judaism shares the Jewish people’s history and covenantal responsibility. Scripture guides this life, while Jewish tradition connects present-day practice with earlier generations. Torah is lived and applied within the New Covenant.
The UMJC’s definition of Messianic JudaismUnity and distinct callings
The UMJC understands Jewish and non-Jewish followers of Yeshua as united in one Body of Messiah, with their distinct identities and callings preserved. Its vision values a full place within the Jewish people and a relationship of mutual blessing with the wider Christian community.

The UMJC’s Statement of Faith affirms God’s enduring covenant with Israel, the authority of the Tanakh and New Covenant writings, and Yeshua’s atoning death and bodily resurrection. It looks forward to his return, the restoration of Israel, and the renewal of creation.
These convictions belong within the Jewish communal life expressed in our congregation’s own Vision and Purpose, Core Commitments and Affirmations, and Core Values.
